Description of the work

야구의 벤치클리어링이라는 소재를 가지고 작업한 작품. 싸움을위한 싸움이 아닌 동료를 보호하고, 팀의 단합을 공고히 하는 행위라는 벤치클리어링의 의미에서 가장 역설적이게도 평화라는 제목을 붙였다.

아크릴로 그려진 넓은 그라운드 위에 수십 명의 인물과 동물들이 동시에 움직이며, 한순간의 벤치클리어링을 다층적인 서사로 확장한다. 싸움의 장면이면서 동시에 동료를 보호하는 ‘연대의 의식’이라는 스포츠 문화의 모순을, 밝고 경쾌한 색채와 유머러스한 디테일로 풀어낸 작품이다.
